Cause

• Dust particles were left on the substrate
• Air leaked into paint area
• Clothing creates dust
• Plastic parts are electrostatic and attract dust
  

Prevention

• Clean and degrease substrate
• Use a tack rag (non-silicone) just prior to the application of the coating
  

Remedies

• Strip and clean or sand down and repaint
